Join our 6-week hands-on workshop 🛠️, based in Milton Keynes, designed to inspire and engage children aged 9-14 in the fascinating world of electronics. Guided by expert tutors, participants will explore the basics of electricity, circuitry and coding through fun, practical activities using Snap Circuits 🔧 and the BBC micro:bit.

What to Expect
- Start with the fundamentals of electricity ⚡ and circuits.
- Progress to building and coding your own creations.
- Link learning to real-world applications to keep it relevant and engaging.
Weekly Highlights
Week 1:
- What is electricity? ⚡
- Create your first circuit!
Week 2:
- Dive deeper into electronics.
- Explore LEDs, resistors and integrated circuits.
Week 3:
- Introduction to the BBC micro:bit.
- Control the LED matrix and upload simple programmes.
Week 4:
- Build a traffic light. 🚦
- Light external LEDs and learn about loops and sequences.
Week 5:
- Use the micro:bit as a remote control.
- Understand radio signals and wireless communication.
Week 6:
- Build your own smart home! 🏠
- Control lights with a remote control. 💡
- Set a burglar alarm to keep your home safe.
Pricing
- Book all 6 weeks for £75 – get the last session FREE if booked by 07/02/2025.
- Book weekly for £15 per session (£90 total).
By the end of the 6 weeks, children will have learned electronic and coding concepts taught at Key Stage 3 level (Year 7-9). They will do this in a fun and engaging way that develops a love for circuits 🔧, coding and engineering!
